Providence Kenya Program
Providence Kenya is a flagship community engagement program under The Mikus Foundation, connecting people from all counties and regions of Kenya.
United We Stand
Led by our inspiring President Christine Faith Mikus, Providence Kenya fosters national unity, economic empowerment, and mutual support among Kenyans.
Key Highlights of Providence Kenya:
- Community Networks: Members are organized into local communities based on their regions. These groups work on projects such as poultry farming, crop cultivation, soap making, and other income-generating activities. Each community becomes a support network, providing social and economic help during times of need.
- Project Boost Fund: Recognizing that newly formed community groups often lack startup capital, Providence Kenya offers a Project Boost ranging from KES 500 to KES 20,000. This fund empowers groups to launch or scale their projects, creating jobs and solving local challenges.
- Providence Kenya Care Day: This unique event is designed to connect job seekers with potential employers from across Kenya. It offers networking opportunities, mentorship, and access to job openings, helping reduce unemployment and fostering career growth.
- Laughter Challenge: Every Thursday and Friday, members participate in the Laughter Challenge by posting jokes. The most liked jokes win cash prizes ranging from KES 500 to KES 2,000. This fun activity fosters engagement, boosts morale, and strengthens community bonds.
Providence Kenya exemplifies how grassroots connection, creativity, and collective action can build stronger, more resilient communities. Join us and be part of this transformative movement.
